on the waterfront
i had an absolutely perfect weekend! i was determined to make it back home when the 4Ms were there, so i took at red-eye out on friday night to spend the weekend at the riverhouse. and i made the most out of those 48 hrs, doing everything that i had wanted to do, including:
- playing with manuel and meeting baby marlow!
- getting a lot of sun
- eating anything i could get my hands on (yay maryland crab!)
- finally learning how to waterski
- driving the jetski (didn't quite get the hang of it, mv and mia thought they were going to die on the back)
- kayaking with mia
- swimming in jellyfish-free water
- taking the boat into annapolis for ice cream
- learning how to drive the boat (easier than the jetski, but it took three tries before i docked it correctly)
- cuddling with picabo on the recliner and watching tv
it's a good thing we didn't have all these luxuries when we were growing up, because as it stands now, mv says we're "spoiled, but not spoiled rotten." we definitely appreciate all the crazy-fun things that our parents have now. we just can't wait to get back there!
after a really early flight this morning, i'm back at work, totally sore and still trying to untangle my wind-blown hair. i will put up pics from my fabulous weekend as soon as i can!
