burrito supreme, and a chicken supreme, and a cutlass supreme

i've been really neglecting my blog as of late, but there hasn't been anything big to report. however, mer's best friend from home, eva, was in town, so i've been more social in this past week than i've been all year. among other things, we went to apartment hunting for eva in pasadena, we strolled abbot kinney and the boardwalk in venice, and saw "the big sleep" at the hollywood cemetery. i'm pretty tired because i'm not used to so much activity, but it was fun and good for me :)

last week we had a test screening of the movie in pasadena. sweetest day of "work" ever. i didn't have to get to the theater until 11, and then all i did all day was run through the movie once, eat lunch, watch "pirates of the caribbean 2" for free, go shopping, watch the movie again for the preview and focus group, and drive all the film to get telecined afterwards. i can't believe i got paid for that. the preview was pretty fun though, and it was interesting to witness the audience's reactions during the movie.

i wish i had some fun recent pictures, but since the one-year anniversary of my arrival in LA is coming up, and soon rachel will be moving to another apartment, here's a classic shot from last summer:
