sorry i haven't updated in a while (my mom called to see if i was still alive). things have been crazy with people visiting, papers coming up, and trying to see everything that we want to in london before we leave in two weeks (agh!).
mv's visit was a lot of fun, though we didn't do much besides shop. but my christmas shopping is almost done now, and i even sent out cards today! anyway, mv and i did all the weird things that we usually do together, like sleep in the same bed, pull out white hairs, and crack each other's backs at least twice a day. this is the longest i've ever been apart from my family in my whole life (six months), so i'll be glad to see them when i go home, even though leaving london will be really hard.
last thursday went ice-skating at somerset house (there's a short clip in "love actually" of the rink), which was absolutely gorgeous. i thoroughly enjoyed myself, even though i'm horrible at skating and my legs felt like they were on fire. that night we went to see the christmas tree lighting in trafalgar square, so we're really in the christmas spirit.
saturday night, i baby-sat manuel, but meredith, kate and vito came along too so we cooked dinner and vegged in front of the tv. being lazy is good...
but yesterday we walked a few miles around kew gardens all the way in zone 4 and then all the way to richmond. it was finally a beautiful day and i have some nice pictures on my new digital camera! my parents got it for me just so i would start taking pictures of my friends that i'm always talking about.
