back from europe! (though the uk is considered to be in europe, british people don't seem to think so) crazy times, but fun and i have so much to tell. but for now, a quick summary so i can go home and take a shower after gross hostel bathrooms for a week.

started in rome, which was a nostalgic trip for meredith and i, so we went around to our favorite places from previous trips and saw some new obscure places. we both read the first book from dan brown (writes very thrilling stuff, highly recommended) called "angels and demons," which takes place in rome and refers to all these cool secrets about churches and sightseeing spots in the city. so meredith and i pretended to be robert langdon, the main character, for two days and ran wild around the city, examining churches and sculptures.

took a random day trip to florence with mere, stayed in the cutest little locanda, which has the feeling of a woman opening up her house to you. it was such a spontaneous thing, and we felt so independent. our good mood got even better when we ran into queen mary friends randomly on the street. what a small world...

met up with our travelling group in venice, got lost many times in the tiny confusing streets. but it was lovely, and meredith and i do really good walkabouts, which burn off all the pasta and gelato that we eat :)

finally left italy for brussels, which was rather gloomy, but a relaxing end to our trip. besides eating lots of frites and waffles and chocolate, there's not too much to do in the city, so it wasn't hectic, and with the cold and gross weather we spent the nights in the youth hotel being very weird together. more on that later...

now i'm back in london, glad to be in my room, no longer living out of a suitcase. i can't believe that i have to go to class tomorrow (and that i missed the "love, actually" premiere that was tonight! i'm so mad!). i'll tell you guys all the crazy stories from last week later.
