stir-fry turned out really well :) and i managed to feed 9 people.

friday night we went to see "shakespeare's r & J," which was an adaptation of romeo and juliet acted out by four men. it was a bit confusing, but definitely thought-provoking. then we got some good ol' ben & jerry's at leicester square and tried out a different pub by whitechapel. nothing much, really.

yesterday, i went to my first ballet class at pineapple in covent garden. it was recommended to me by my teacher at nu, and i went to observe a class on wednesday, but i wanted to dance so badly. the class was good, but a little easy. the girls were at my level though. the advanced classes on wednesday seem more fun, but the people are really hardcore there. i'll have to really get back into shape first before going to those. then after class, i had dinner as usual in meredith's flat and we ended up sitting there for SIX hours, talking to the different people that were coming by. but it was nice and relaxing.

unlike today. we (warrick, meredith, eamonn, and me) left campus at 8 in the morning to go to oxford for the day. once we got there, we took one of those double-decker tours around the city to get an overview, then we hopped off at the christ church, since some scenes from harry potter were filmed there or inspired by the location. meredith and i were very excited by that. and lewis carroll/charles dodgson, the author of alice in wonderland and through the looking-glass, lived in oxford, as did the real alice, so i learned about all the oxford references in his stories. very cool, since i love those books. the only damper on the day was that it was sooooo cold, so we were all shivering on the bus and it made us all very cranky as we were walking around. we decided to catch an earlier bus home, which was a very good idea, since it's only ten here and it seems like one since it's been dark for so long. now it looks like it's going to be an early night for me. but no bed before i finish reading the da vinci code. meredith and i are reading the same copy and fighting over it since we can't put it down. every chapter is a cliffhanger, which can be frustrating, and there are so many facts thrown at you, but i can't stop reading it. actually, i think i'd better go steal it back from meredith now or else i'll never get it back.... good night!
