random thoughts:

- i discovered this week that my new shampoo makes my hair smell like gummy bears. that explains why the bugs have been following me around more than usual. i've always been susceptible to bug bites, so my mom says that i have sweet blood.
- in the city, burger kings are like gas stations. there can be two built across the street from each other. thankfully, i have not resorted to fast food at all since i've been here, because of the nearby grocery stores and the fully-equipped kitchen in the flat.
- the building next to my aunt and uncle's flat is not a hotel like i thought. it's called the northern and shell tower and it's an office building. but it's not just any office building. my aunt and uncle told me to peek through the blinds on the first floor to see what it was, and they told me to look at the magazines on the floor and the posters on the wall as clues. it is, in fact, a porn manufacturer. lovely.
