random day...
 
- decided that my translucent skin needed to see some sun after a week under the office fluorescents, so i went outside to read with the dog. but the next-door kids kept on coming by, so i didn't get much reading done. they took turns riding with their dad on the lawnmower and talking to me and picabo about how their family has two hoses (theirs are white, not green like ours). eventually their dad made them stop bothering me, but i didn't really mind.
- then it was too hot to just sit outside, so i took the opportunity to wash my car, even though there's a carwash right across the street.
- after the car, the most logical thing to do was to wash my dog with the same hose. he REALLY hated me after that. he's already depressed because i'm the only one at home, and the shower just made things worse. when family members (especially my dad) are on trips, my dog sometimes gets mopey and sick and loses control of his bodily functions. gross, i know. last night, i woke up at 4 just in time to catch him throw up on my comforter.
- it was too muggy to run outside, so i ran two miles (that's a lot for me) on the treadmill while watching "dangerous beauty," my sister's favorite movie. i tell you putting a tv in the gym is the only way you can get me to do any exercise. maybe i'll take dance class at my old studio if my teacher's here this summer...
 
that's pretty much it. it's been an odd sort of productive day. i might do some editing tonight so i don't fall behind when i go to tampa next week.
