shameless promotion
unemployment is starting to get to me (thankfully i'll be going home next week for a while), and i'm feeling useless, especially compared to my friends. it seems like everyone is being productive, and i'm suitably impressed and proud. mv got the perfect job, and is figuring out how to run her new choir department. mer and the other TFA-ers just finished their second year of teaching, and a lot of them are training new corps members. a few people have gotten into grad school. everyone else seems to involved in some ambitious projects, so i thought i'd advertise them here, to get the word out to those people who actually check this blog (all five of you).
- MATT: he has the most projects under his belt, from poor university, to a bunch of facebook apps (cashback, movie posters, art), to a possible new job with connecting moms. he's an expert on e-commerce and he's the go-to guy for finding deals on the internet. he's also helping with another site for...
- BECKY: she makes the most adorable handmade greeting cards, and her company, lil' guy paper co., is starting to sell on the internet! my favorite card is the one she made for matt's birthday, which said, "i don't like you. but i'll pretend if there's cake."
- JAKE: he's now the creative director of funnyordie! that's huge!!! they don't even need any more buzz, but if you haven't checked out the site yet, you should. there's a lot of amusing stuff on there, including a couple videos from...
- ROSS: while he's preparing for his movie shoot in minnesota, he and his friend matt have been making shorts. watch "pool safety" and "meals on wheels" and make sure to rate them as funny!
hopefully i'll get a job not long after i come back from the east coast. then i can start working, or creating, or doing SOMETHING besides cooking, baking, going to ballet class, playing croquet, and reading on the beach. who would've thought that i'd say something like that?
