love the lovely friends.

today started out being really crappy since i only got about two and a half hours of sleep due to my european cinema paper and i was extremely cranky. but things were looking up since i had scheduled a date with mer to cook dinner and make cupcakes at 5. i took a nap at 4, woke up to my phone ringing at 5, which was mer wondering where i was. it was a good thing that she called, because when i got to ross's, there were a bunch of my friends there for a birthday dinner! it was kind of a last-minute thing since mer invited them all at about 8pm last night, but i was surprised that about a dozen people came on such short notice! and it was worlds colliding, with friends from all sides of my life coming together. i just wish i wasn't so sleep-deprived so that i could've been peppier. it was a pretty laid-back evening, but i can't remember the last time i had a birthday party, so it really meant a lot to me. what a good way to end the day...

now i really need to get to bed. thanks everyone for a wonderful surprise!
