stella, the comedy show with michael showalter, david wain, and michael ian black (all on those random vh1 shows) came to campus today. we all went to the show, and then to the nstv actors' meeting afterwards. and showalter, wain, and black all dropped in on our meeting! it was awesome, but AWKWARD!!!!! we read a sketch with them (showalter actually stepped in for one of the roles), and got some feedback. i have no idea if they thought we were funny or if they were being patronizing. most likely the latter. showalter was great for offering to read a part, wain was genuinely interested and even asked for a copy of our show when it's done, but black was a bit of a diva and didn't talk much. it was nerve-wracking, showing our sketch comedy to professional (albeit not that funny tonight) comedians, but it was an experience. AGH!

p.s. at one point, showalter skipped a page, and when i pointed it out, wain poked me and asked, "did you write this?" good sign or bad? or am i overanalyzing everything?
