i am the luckiest.

- i'm back from LA, after a whirlwind week. my last meetings went really well, especially the one on the fox lot. the people were busy editing the new mike judge movie, but they were really enthusiastic to talk to me, since i suppose post-production people don't get too many requests for informational interviews. so i got introduced to a bunch of people, and they all said to contact them when i'm moving out to LA. they assured me that even if they didn't have a job for me, they'd set up more meetings to help me find one, and even see if i can sit in on color correction sessions, etc., just so i can learn more about the post-production process. they were all super nice, so at least i have some leads. i can move out there with some prospects. and i think i'll be going out there in JULY. crazy soon, isn't it? i can't believe it myself.

- had a good homecoming yesterday. trying to forget the fact that i only have a month and a half left in evanston. and less than three weeks until the nstv premiere!

- our house mom resigned and left yesterday. now seniors have to act as house mom. looks like boys will be running rampant through the house for the rest of the school year :) my friends can now come in for cider or coffee without getting evil glares the entire time.

- teaser trailer for the new harry potter is out. amanda has admitted to having seen it an "inappropriate" number of times in the past two days. the beginning kind of pulls at the heartstrings, since it reminds you how quickly these kids have grown up. super excited for the movie though, because goblet of fire is my favorite of all the books.
