once again, i'm at a loss for what to do with myself. last night, one of our actors said that she had a scheduling conflict for today, and after a frustrating round of phone calls, i made an executive decision to cancel everything for today. best decision i ever made, but who knew i had the power to do that? anyway, i got to sleep for 11 hours , and i can't even remember the last time i slept in. plus, i got to have lunch with meghan and anna, and i've been able to get some stuff done for once.
not that nstv isn't amazing. we had such a productive day yesterday, despite some location hassles, and everything looks awesome so far. ross and i are really ahead with editing (we don't want another fiasco like last year when the show was finished half an hour before the premiere), brent makes sure everything looks good on set, and we're all still having fun. ross is starting to have nstv nightmares, but i'm not too worried since it seems like we're in pretty good shape and things overall are running smoothly. *knock on wood*
before nstv, my life was consumed with rush/recruitment. but it was fun, i was an rc (recruitment counselor/rho chi), which was soooo much better than going through rush on the house side. of course, i love my sorority sisters, but i suck at the small talk. i preferred having a group of 20 girls that i got to know pretty well over talking to 100 girls that i would never remember. it was a little nerve-wracking, handing out the bid cards to my group, but the majority of them were ecstatic at the end. they were so cute, and i was like their mother hen. plus, i got to go around to all the houses, see all the decorations, watch a bunch of skits, and eat food EVERYWHERE. ever since rush ended, i can't get by without a few sugar fixes a day. i need to get over that quickly.
now it's back to reality. well, as real as life can get when you have one class. :)
