great weekend!

on friday, a bunch of nstv people went to milwaukee for a retreat at the house of one of our head writers. his house is full of all the things a person would want when they were a kid: a heated pool with a slide, a go-kart, a pool table, and old video arcade games. i'm really glad that i got to know some of the nstv people better, i just wish that it had happened earlier in the year. they kept a constant stream of laughter going the entire time. the only bad thing was the horrible feeling you get after a sleepover, where you just feel cranky, dirty, and exhausted. the entire day afterward is wasted because you feel so gross. sleeping on the floor is bad enough, but it's even worse when you're surrounded by a bunch of guys who are heavy-breathers (mathias by himself had a whole range of sounds). but i'm glad that i went.
last night, i went to see boomshaka, which was awesome. i never seen such an energetic, multi-talented bunch of people. it's a northwestern group that's a lot like "stomp," but even more interesting. every single one of the members could drum, dance, sing, and act. it really made me wish that i could do percussion, tap, and dance with attitude.

that's it for now, i've gotta get a lot of work done for this week. oh, and happy 20th birthday to lisa, and happy mother's day to mommies everywhere, especially mine!
