whoo, the past couple of weeks have been really busy, and it's only going to get worse until the end of the quarter, i really shouldn't be sitting on my butt right now when i have a million things to do. classes are ok, i just can't wait for this quarter to be over, though next quarter shouldn't be much better. anyway, analysis and performance of lit is all right, but i wouldn't have to force myself to go to class as much if it weren't at 9 in the morning, or if nafis was in the class. as much as i hate public speaking in general, that class was great because of all the fun people.
italian is torturous right now, we're reading a novella that i wouldn't even understand if it were in english, and we have "discussions" where there are long periods of silence and our prof just ends up talking for an hour, trying to explain what's going on ("oh really? so the prostitute is in love with the gardener and she wants to kill one of her ex-lovers?"). i was definitely contemplating not taking italian next quarter, but i feel some sort of weird obligation to finish the year, even though i fulfilled my language requirement with french from high school, and i will probably never use italian again. french is different, my family speaks it, that's why i'm continuing it next quarter and taking the advanced conversation class. i hate the conversation classes, but i guess they will help me become more fluent.
media contexts is great, the lectures are worth attending, and only in that class would the paper assignments be about reality shows. on the other hand, my other rtvf class, which is a production class, is hell on earth. our midterm project is due tomorrow, and our final project is due just two weeks after that. and my main role for the final project is editor, so i will be spending more hours in the lab than i would like to count. aggghhhhh.....
i'm sure you're sick of my complaining, so as always, i'll look on the brighter side of life. danceworks is exhausting, but so much fun, and i haven't performed in so long. i can't wait until the show starts! and, my family's coming in on friday :) it seems like winter break was ages ago. oh my god, this blog is so long, i'm just going to end it right now without any sort of conclusion.
