when mv and i were applying for "the amazing race," a lot of our audition video consisted of embarrassing childhood photos of us. like this gem...

that last one is of us re-enacting our favorite broadway show, "cats." we also have some more pics of us doing "phantom of the opera." if that's not mortifying enough, what the photos do NOT show is that we were performing in front of all of mv's friends at her birthday party. we always did weird show-offy stuff at parties, choreographing dance routines and singing karaoke (barbra streisand, no less!) for our parents' friends. now i cringe just thinking about it.

i started my post with that strange tidbit because not much has been happening here. last week was full of late nights and long hours at work, but after our studio screening, things came to a screeching halt. we finally got a full weekend off, and for the past couple of days, we've been sitting around with nothing to do until we get notes/instructions from the big bosses. but we're welcoming the change of pace. i've been bringing books into work, and i might even start catching up on my netflix. does anyone have any good suggestions for what to read/watch?
