- my job's gotten a lot better in the past couple days since i started listening to internet radio (even when i'm editing). time goes by a lot faster and i don't even realize when i haven't budged from my chair in five hours.
- i wanted nafis to go to the zoo with me to see the tiger cubs this weekend, but his brother's in town and he's hanging out with him. i can't really be mad, because i know i would ditch him if the same thing happened to me. but he's leaving for medical school next week, and even though he's going to be in chicago, i know he'll drop off the face of the earth because of all the studying, so i'd better see him now.
- mv says that we should try out for "the amazing race," apparently "the classiest reality show on tv." you just need to be smart to be on that show. plus, she thinks that since i have really good eyes, we would do well because the contestants are always having to look for little flags and stuff. we would just need to get into shape and learn some spanish, since they never seem to go to french or italian-speaking countries. if we sent a tape in to cbs, all we would have to do is say that our names are my-van and thuy-van, and we would be accepted.
- i want to get an internship with this new animation network starting up in chicago, but they're ideally looking for an intern who can start earlier than october. hopefully we can still work something out, because i really want to do something there just for the experience (i don't need any credit and i don't really need to get paid). it just seems like a really awesome job.
- i'm getting my powerbook this weekend! i'm such a nerd.
