oops, it's been too long since i updated this thing. i guarantee this will be a long blog, so if you don't have the time to read it now, come back later. so anyway, a couple of weeks ago, i went to beautiful CA with my family. i went to san francisco for the first time in recent memory and had a good ol' time hiking in the muir woods and up and down the city streets. the weather was absolutely gorgeous there, but i do prefer the east coast since we have seasons and all that. and in sausalito, i got to see allison, though only for a couple of hours :(
mv and i drove down the coast to monterey and carmel, to eat seafood, watch sea lions, and get attacked by humungous squirrels. then, it was my uncle's wedding in san jose! it was nice, but soooo exhausting, since it went from 9 in the morning to midnight. there were four ceremonies! but it was nice to see our dad's side of the family and to finally see our uncle settled down! :)
after that, my family split up and headed in different directions. my sis went home (boo to work!), my parents went to the napa valley (my mom left me a message where she sounded very giddy but insisted that she wasn't drunk. right...), and i went to my film program in LA. the film thing was very good, i met lots of people who weren't really snobby film buffs, and we had lots of fun. most of our days were spent listening to panel discussions about the film and tv industry, but we also went on studio tours, saw a sneak preview of a really bad movie (skins), went to a tv taping for the new show "good morning miami," and much more. i had a few celebrity sightings - al pacino at the simone premiere, rachael leigh cook when we were driving in LA, and rachael weisz from about a boy on rodeo drive (i was standing two feet away from her and staring at her through my sunglasses because i couldn't figure out who she was. she must've been freaked out because she kept on looking at me.). anyway, i got a lot of advice on my future career (?) and i had a good time on my first trip to hollywood. i don't know if i want to live there, so i might have to go into television, but i'm still unsure about what i want to specialize in.
all right, this blog is long enough, and i have to finish packing to go to london tonight! i'm going for nine days to see my favorite aunt and uncle and their new baby boy! whee! "london, baby!"
