whoo, i've been very delinquent with the blog-keeping lately. but, i have an excuse! i was at the beach for a week, and then meghan came to visit me!

so first of all, the beach was great. i got to hang out with the whole vietnamese group (except for my mom and my sis, but i gave them enough grief about that), and our resort was definitely invaded by asians. i love how we wreak havoc whenever we travel in large groups. the weather was pretty yucky at the beginning of the week, but by the end, it was beautiful and sunny and HOT. during the day, we hung out on the beach- tanning, swimming in the oceans and the pools, and building caves like we used to do when we were little. one thing that i love about the beach is that everything feels so much better. i feel a lot healthier and more active, the cool water and hot sun complement each other and are never unbearable, and any type of food tastes soooooo good. when we weren't on the beach, a lot of our time was spent eating and sitting, since there wasn't much to do around and outside the resort. but it was all relaxing and fun, and i can't wait until our next trip.

i just took meghan to the airport :( , but we had a great time here this week. we went into dc and saw the jackie kennedy exhibit at the corcoran, and then we went to the international spy museum! it's only been open for a week, and it is so awesome. it's like an attraction at disney world when you first go in, but you learn A LOT. we spent four hours there! one of the best parts is at the beginning, where you have to choose an identity (a "cover") and memorize it to be quizzed later. i was angelena falcone, 21, from italy, a travel agent, going to hanoi, vietnam for 30 days on business. meghan's was the best. she was hasina mtembe, 26, from kenya, born in mbemba, tanzania, a banker going to munich for 8 days to visit family. so that was all very exciting and now we're convinced that we can be spies :) . over the week, we also saw "aida" at the kennedy center (really good) and two movies, men in black 2 and the master of disguise (really bad). she's going home now, which is sad, but i'm really glad she came out here! i got to show her this whole other side of my life outside of school.

i think this blog is long enough now, and i'll have lots more to tell you all when i get back from california! we're going to my uncle's wedding, and then i have my film program, which should be exciting. i don't think i've ever been to hollywood before!
