all right, today was the first day of classes, and i'm already tired. i had to change my classes AGAIN, since art wasn't going to work out for me, and now i'm enrolled in this econ class that meets three times a week at 8:30!! agh, i don't know how i'm going to do that. anyway, i can't wait until everything is settled.

my first week back was fine, i spent a lot of time going to alpha chi meetings and decorating our new room. our dorm is really nice, but the location is the worst part. it takes at least 20 minutes of walking to get anywhere, especially since all the good stuff is by south campus. but at least we'll get a lot of exercise.

a couple days ago, we went to see tom deluca, the hypnotist, for the first time. of course, i was too scared to go up there and do embarrassing stuff, but it was so much fun to watch. i swear, i was laughing so hard my throat was sore and i almost peed my pants. some highlights:
- two guys thought that they were with the new york city ballet and did a pas de deux
- one girl thought she was britney and sang and danced (but she didn't do the choreography like brandee)
- one guy thought that fruit had feelings, so he was saving them from being eaten, and he got all philosophical, saying that fruit have souls and consciousness. then, tom deluca made him really hungry and put a banana on his knee, so he was forced to eat it. but he justified it by saying, "he wasn't organic. he lied, so i ate him." and then tom asked if he wanted to tell the banana anything, and he said, "yeah, tell all your little friends." he was so intense and serious, it was hilarious!
i wish i knew how he did it, but it was so cool! it was the high point of my week, so if he comes to your school, definitely go and see him. that's it, i have to wake up early tomorrow, so good night!
