well, january was a bit of a whirlwind, but i have enough of a breather right now to give you all an update on my life.

so i've been working 12-13 hours a day, six days a week on the fox lot, which is fun because i've never worked on a real movie before. my favorite thing is driving the golf cart around the lot and new york set and trying to check out the other productions. and getting paid is GREAT. the work itself is fine, it's just normal PA stuff, but i do get to see the visual effects stuff, which is cool. people keep on asking me if i know what happens in the movie, and i do, but of course i couldn't tell them or else fox would sue me for much more than i'm worth. it's kind of sad for me though, knowing the plot, because i'm actually excited about this film and would have liked being surprised seeing it in the theater for the first time.

my social life has suffered quite a bit due to work, but i'm getting used to the schedule. i have enough energy to go out once in a while, and i always make it to wednesday night trivia at the fireside (we are such nerds). we even had a party at our apartment on thursday, to say "bon voyage" to brent, who left yesterday to go on tour with "jars of clay" (hardcore christian rockers!!! yesssss!!!!!). he'll be gone for three weeks, which is sad, but it's an amazing opportunity, because at 23, he's running lights on his own for a pretty popular band.

we're heading out now to watch the superbowl at the boys' apartment, but here's my list of most recent celebrity sightings:
- that guy from "freaks and geeks" and "how i met your mother" - multiple times around the lot
- david cross from "arrested development" - driving around the lot. i thought it was him and was second-guessing myself until i realized that no one else would have a moustache like that.
- jon lovitz - almost hit him with my car in beverly hills
- hugh laurie - riding into work on his motorcycle
- george carlin - sitting next to me at the carwash today

soooo glamorous..... :)
