yes, michelle branch is pregnant. at 21 years old. crazy, isn't it? well, not so crazy when you consider that i know people who've had babies as early as 17. anyway, for a second, i thought that michelle branch HAD to marry her 40 year old bassist because she was pregnant, but if you do the math, it turns out that's not the case. but whatever the case may be, congratulations to her.

i personally could not even fathom being married, much less pregnant, at this age. i'm not even going to think about marriage until i'm around 26 or 27 (though that's mv's age right now, so maybe even later *). i've always said, i want to be selfish for a little while (as horrible as that sounds), and not have to worry about another person if i have to move around for my job or whatever. i need to get established career-wise before i can settle down. i know that's boringly pragmatic of me, but who knows? maybe something terribly romantic will happen and my entire outlook will change. richie seems to think that i'll be one of those people who meet someone and get engaged after a whirlwind six months. i'm entirely too realistic to believe that, but sometimes it's nice to dream...

*sometimes mv and i think that we're not cut out for marriage. but our parents wouldn't be too pleased about having illegitimate grandchildren :) *
