last night, after the oc, mer dragged me out to prairie moon for my first thursday night of socializing. let me say, i should go out even less frequently, because the response i got there was crazy and kinda fun. it was like i was a celebrity or something. i would run into people from my house and they were all shocked to see me there, because i NEVER go out, especially in evanston. allison got super-excited, and meryl actually screamed and jumped up and down when she saw me. and though the bar scene is not really my thing, i enjoyed myself. the best part was matt trying to act as my pimp, and him and meredith coaching me in the art of picking up guys. of course, my lack of skills in that department is beyond repair, and i'm the shyest and most awkward person ever in public, so they were completely unsuccessful (not that i should be taking pick-up advice from matt, since his idea of the best pick-up line is, "want to take a bath with me?"). so though it doesn't look like i'll be partying up a storm any time soon, it was a nice change of pace from sitting around in my room, and i had a good time.
