this post is dedicated to ross and meredith.

i love them! on thursday, instead of letting me sit around and be sad, they took me out to nickel city, which is this arcade where all the games are free or paid for in nickels. by the end, my forearm hurt so much because my video game technique is to hit as many buttons as fast as possible. one of the best moments of the night was when we were playing "teenage mutant ninja turtles" and ross looked over at my stats and realized that i had 487 lives because i kept on hitting this button on the bottom of the machine with my knee. apparently i would never die. another good point was when it took all three of us to play as one player on this ghetto track and field game, with meredith and i each acting as one of the legs of the little runner-man.
after nickel city, we went to rent a video (lost highway, which convinced me that i will never see another david lynch film again) and got popsicles at the grocery store. when we got there, ross said, "ok, in five minutes, meet at the checkout and whoever has the weirdest item wins." we all split up, and i headed straight for the medical section because i know from experience that there's a lot of strange crap over there. when we met up again, ross had a piece of ginger (he didn't know what it was, he just thought it looked weird), meredith had lint traps, and i had "disposable probe covers." needless to say, i won :)

so meredith's going away next quarter, and i won't get to hang out with them in a long time (though ross did ask meredith's permission to see if it would be ok for him to hang out with me while she's gone, haha!). how am i going to be entertained? i can't just walk across the street to the clark apartments to make scrambled eggs and rice, or watch a movie, or bake cookies anymore. so many people are going to be gone, and it's actually starting to make me sad now. maren will be in new york, katie in russia, and anna and allison are still abroad. thank goodness meghan will still be here.

agh, i have to write my final paper for my musical class before my last editing session at 8 tonight, so i'd better get cracking. hope everyone is doing well!
