WHOO HOO!!!! MY CLASSES ARE OVER!!! i had my french oral exam today, and now i am done! actually, i do have a huge rtvf project due next week, but now i finally have time to write a good blog. i can't believe this year is almost over. though it seemed like it would never end (especially with all my friends out of school for what seems like months), it's just a week until i'm packed up and ready to leave for the summer. i'll be really sad about leaving my wonderful room in allison hall and not seeing NU friends for a few months, but i'm soooo glad to go home! three months of no classes, good food, family, and VA friends! i only hope it's long enough.

next year will also be a little sad. allison (the person and the dorm) will be allllll the way down south, and we'll be stuck a million miles away in elder hall. going to classes everyday will be a trek, and going into evanston will be a pain. but we'll just have to grin and bear it. at least i can enjoy my last week living here in allison. oh, and believe me, i will. of course, i'll be spending countless hours putting together and editing my final project, but i'll be hanging out as much as possible with my friends! going from seeing these people every day to not seeing them for months is kind of crazy. but meghan and allison have promised to visit DC (anna will be in ecuador for most of the summer), so i'm excited to show them around at home!

i've started packing up my room, and it's amazing how much stuff i've accumulated in one year. i have 50 million alpha chi things, dozens of posters and prints, and all these other decorations. i actually have a box that's full of room decorations (picture frames, etc.) and holiday decorations (including two christmas trees, loads of window decals, fall leaf thingies, and a plastic pumpkin). i'm not even close to being finished with packing. looking at all these things is a little bit like reliving the year, i can't wait to go through the box i kept of random souvenirs. wow, this year has been so great. i've definitely grown up a lot, and i've learnt new things and made new friends. usually, i would be sad that time is passing by so quickly and freshman year is over, but i do have three more years here and lots more to look forward to. : )
