the black parade
well, it's been a jam-packed pre-halloween weekend, which is fine since i probably won't do anything for the actual holiday.
since i don't have a job yet (still not worried, unlike my parents), i helped meredith set up her kindergarten classroom on friday and saturday. a lot of work, but still fun since i like the following things:
1. cleaning
2. school supplies (i love the sound of rattling pencil boxes)
3. children's books
4. spatial reasoning
5. bulletin boards and dry-erase boards
6. arts and crafts
7. contact paper and lamination
8. bright colors
9. those plastic cubes that link together to teach counting
10. meredith
it's amazing how much work goes into making a classroom stimulating and kid-friendly, but after two exhausting days, it looks great. now the hard part really starts for mer...
we also went to a halloween party on friday night (where mer and i dressed as a mac and a PC), a pumpkin carving party on saturday, and dinner with rach to celebrate her birthday (a little late). today, i managed to make it to ballet, but now i'm just resting and recovering. hope everyone else had as good of a weekend as i did! happy halloween!
