just got back from my first chapter meeting, and i'm tired.
chuck e. cheese on saturday was lots o' fun. i pooled my tickets with fellow sisters katie and meredith from down the hall and katie's friend, and we managed to get a bucket of play-dough, which is a pretty good prize for chuck e. cheese. but considering that it took 80 tokens to get that many tickets, that bucket of dough really costed $20. ridiculous. rebellious thing of the night: meredith and i cheating to get more tickets. there's this machine that has all these tokens and these bulldozer-things that push them reeeaaalllly slowly. and when some fall off the edge of the shelf, you get tickets! so, a lot of them were teetering on the edge, so i would put in tokens and then meredith would bang on the machine really hard and a bunch would fall down. we're so bad : ). then, when we got back, meredith and i played "moods" with alpha chis katie althen (who was in choir with me at jefferson!) and emily barker (who also comes from great falls! she was in one of our ballet performances!).
yesterday, i did absolutely nothing. i downloaded "monsters, inc." and watched that and cried profusely all over again. for some reason, that movie is so much sadder than any other animated film (the only rival might be the little mermaid, when she hugs her father), i think because it symbolizes a loss of childhood and innocence. agh, even just thinking about it makes me tear up : (
today, because of mlk day, most of my classes were cancelled, except for french at 9:00, which stunk. but then i got to relax for the rest of the day and do nothing. then, i had dinner at alpha chi (which was good) and our first chapter meeting. now i'm gonna do some work and probably watch a movie, as usual. hope you all had a good weekend!
